24 Taxi Boats in Kali Adem Port Certified

Owners of traditional boats in Seribu Islands have begun to realize for fulfilling sailing requirements. Until this Monday (11/2), there have been 24 boats recorded having sailing permit.

12 other boats don't want to process the permit, thus prefer to move transporting passengers in Tanjung Pasir Port, Tangerang. It's personnal awareness

"There have been 24 boats certified. As for 2 others, are on progress," said Head of Sunda Kelapa Port Master, Hermanta.

23 Taxi Boats Meet Sailing Permit Requirement

According to him, to operate in Kali Adem must have permit indeed. Hence, the owners obligate to complete the requirement, including providing safety equipments for passengers.

"There is Marine Inspector who's expert at boat feasibility and security that give recommendation whether the boat is feasible to obtain the permit or not," he explained.

However, he continued, he hands over the decision for certifying to the boat owners. But if they have no the permit, the boat is not allowed to operate in Kali Adem Port.

"12 other boats don't want to process the permit, thus prefer to move transporting passengers in Tanjung Pasir Port, Tangerang. It’s personnal awareness," he finished.
